My day began with visiting the bakery as always, which was actually open at the correct time. Arthur mentioned that I looked a bit tired, so I gave him the low down of what's been getting me down. He seems frustrated for me, which seems to be the reaction I've gotten from most people. He musters up his very best English to tell me I'll find someone better.
I know.
Even if he's wrong, dogs are more loyal than boys.
I work for awhile, before I leave Arthur (by the way his real name is 명근 | Myeongeun), gives me a bag of morning bread to take home.
I thank him and say goodbye as I take a trip to Smoothie King to try their banana, carrot, strawberry smoothie. I love carrots so I was very pleased with the outcome.
At this point it was pretty clear that 민규 (Mingyu) had decided to completely remove himself from my life, and that was just something I'd have to accept for now. I decided to take the sudden freedom as an opportunity to focus on myself. I stop by Brand Market after buying my smoothie and pick out a new outfit. Afterwards I go to Daiso and buy all the essentials to paint my nails.
At home I clean up my room, through together a playlist on the recent controversies on ProJared and James Charles to binge on youtube, and give my nails the TLC they desperately deserved.
I am not a hand model.
After my nails dry, I give my new look a try.

I'm trying out a more grunge-y aesthetic. To reflect my mood. And pissed-off-ed-ness. I think it suits me.
I was CRAVING spaghetti for like the past two days. But had little to no appetite and was way to lazy to go through the steps of making spaghetti sauce. Why not just buy canned sauce? Because its imported and HELL expensive. Anything imported to Korea is hell expensive.
So what did I do? I did the most college innovative home cooking move in my life: I went to the grocery store, bought my almost zero calorie noodles, buy a bottle of Ottogi ketchup, throw it in a bowl, microwave on high for 2 minutes, add a TON of salt, and continue to binge my controversy and theory videos.
But it was not enough, I actually felt HUNGRY for the first time, so I put my shoes back on and crossed the street to the convenient store. I was in the mood
for
POPCORN.
And Korea has some WEIRD popcorn flavors. I've mentioned that I tried the Sakura flower one in an earlier blog. But have I mentioned that CU in particular carries popcorn in the flavors of
- pretzel and caramel
- sweet garlic
- sweet honey
- soy sauce chicken
- cheese
- consomme
- honey churros
Yeah. That's for real.
So I bought one bag of cheese and one bag of consomme.
Cheese is pretty much what you'd expect, a little bit sweet. But the consomme...........I really didn't know what to expect. Because I really don't know what consomme is. And I STILL don't know what it is. But I do know that it tasted sweet, almost milky, but also salty and a bit onion-y or smoky? It was good. Okay?
The popcorn was pretty much the highlight of my night, I didn't even get a vlog done because I had no material. I decided I really needed to do more with my two weeks left in Seoul. Any suggestions?
